The importance of good rehabilitative exercise post-operation, beginning at the right time and continuing with the right progression is critical to maximising recovery potential. Without correct rehabilitation you lower the ceiling for that potential recovery and lose some degree of functionality: strength, flexibility, or range of movement, which essentially ages your body and diminishes your performance.

People are also becoming increasingly aware of the importance of good PREhabilitation: improving strength, flexibility, body awareness, balance, and core stability, before operations. This serves to reduce the impact of the operation and to speed recovery thereafter, minimising the likelihood of compensatory injuries and improving return to work times.

Testimonials

Dale worked with our 15 year old daughter Claudia, pre and post a spinal fusion operation to correct a severe scoliosis (fusing 11 vertebrae L3 to T5). His warm, caring manner, together with his sound knowledge of all things body-related, is a winning combination. We are very grateful to have found him.

I am 66 years old and have recently had a complete knee replacement. The Sports Physician advised that I would need the other one done soon as well so I employed Dale to improve my general fitness and flexibility, in preparation for the operation and to speed my recovery after.

However, my flexibility, posture and core strength have improved significantly such that I am able to walk freely for long distances and continue to play golf, without any of the pain I had suffered for years! As a consequence, I don’t believe I will require a knee operation in the foreseeable future.

Dale’s extensive knowledge ensures that I exercise with correct technique, far less effort than I used to, and without the recurrent injuries I used to suffer. He has provided a complete lifestyle change for me, my fitness, motivation and confidence have improved and my overall wellbeing has benefited.
